4/20/2018 0 Comments In Depth: Facial MassageHi Everyone, If you've read my most recent post then you'll know that I like to give myself facial massages every once in while! By every once in a while, I mean I like to do them bi-weekly! I like to do it either Saturday night or Sunday night and then I like to do it sometime either Thursday night or sometime on Friday before Shabbos! It's so relaxing! I am also by no means a professional! This is just what I have research and seen! I just thought that this would be nice to share with you! So please take what I say with a grain of salt and maybe try it for yourself! Before I go into my massage, I like to do a little prep! By prepping my skin I like do cleanse my face and apply my Zabana Essential Face Balm, which I spoke more about in my latest post! As you can see once I apply the face balm my face looks a lot more "greasy"! This helps with the Jade Facial Roller to have a slippery traction so the roller doesn't pull on the skin. We don't want any pulling! Just a little pressure! In the photo above, I am trying to demonstrate to you how firm you should be pressing onto your face will your Jade roller. I hope you can see, but you should just press the Jade roller gently on the face and ALWAYS roll UPWARDS and OUT!! You don't want to hurt yourself, but you do want to try to roll it as quickly and gently as you can! I like to do a least 50 upward rolls/strokes on the face and neck. Let's get into the actual massage!! Once I take my Jade roller out of the fridge, I like to start with the forehead first! I take the Jade roller going in upward motions throughout my whole forehead! Once I've done that for about 50 times. I take the Jade roller up the middle of my forehead and the roll it outwards! This really helps with smoothing out your forehead and helps with wrinkles and keeps it lifted! You may hear that a lot "keeps it lifted"! That what we're look for though, right?!! After I'm done with my forehead, I turn my Jade roller to the other side with the smaller roller and work on my eye area! Please Please, be very careful with this area! Your eye area is one of the most sensitive part of the face. The skin around your eyes are very thin and sensitive. DO NOT pull the area around your eyes!! From the first picture, which I hope you can tell. I like to take the smaller side of the Jade roller in an up and down rolling motion right under the eyes. This really helps with the puffiness around the eyes. Then in the second picture. I take the smaller side again and roll it from the under the eye, by the side of my nose, and roll it outwards. This also helps with the puffiness! Once I'm finished with the eyes, I like to move on to my cheeks and jaw area! This part is the main focal point of a facial massage! This is where you are really "lifting" your face! For the cheek area, I take the bigger side of the Jade roller and I start from the bottom of the face, by the jaw line. I start from my chin and then I roll it gently upwards towards my ear. I keep doing this on repeat for about 50 times through out the whole sides of my face! Always make sure that you're going from the jaw line up towards the eye. You want to do this along the sides of cheek and the front of your cheeks! I like to do a little extra massages on this part of the face! Make sure you're really getting that lifted effect! The last part I like to massage is my neck! The neck is one of the first areas that starts showing signs of ageing. Just as it's important to take care of the skin on your face. It's also important to take care of the skin on your neck! The way I like to massage my neck is by taking the larger side of the Jade roller and start from the bottom of the neck. Then I roll the Jade roller up my neck and then outwards towards my chin. We want everything to roll up and out! Here are before and after pictures! You can't really tell much of a difference, because you'll appreciate the results when you're older! Although you can see that in the 'after' photo that a lot of the puffiness went down around my eyes and through out my face! You can also see that my face looks plumper! Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you enjoyed! Have a wonderful day! Elisheva
